I have been very proud to have represented the Adil Group for over 14 years in many wide and varied legal matters, acting in particular on acquisitions, lettings, property management, and disposals. It has been a privilege to work with the company throughout that time, and to watch the business grow and prosper. Demanding and thorough, but always good humoured and approachable, Raja Adil and his team are a pleasure to work with.
I have worked with The Adil Group for close on five years covering all aspects of their property portfolio including: professional, site acquisition and investment purchases.
We work well as a team, instructions are issued quickly and once a deal is identified then their commitment is total. Equally if a deal or a property introduced is not for them, they will inform immediately and move on. In my experience they do not pull out of deals, in fact one investment (a £3.4m) deal I was acting on was tortuous. I know other clients who would have walked away, however The Adil Group stuck with it and completed.
Over the years a sound relationship founded on trust has been built up with The Adil Group. They are excellent to deal with, fees are paid promptly and where problems arise (and they always do when dealing with property matters) they are discussed and resolved amicably. Sounds “Adil”
I met Raja by chance in 2015 – he enquired about viewing a building in Glasgow I was selling. I have 25 years in this industry and a well-developed sense that quickly separates the dreamers from the serious. Raja was self-evidently in the camp of the latter and we formed a healthy rapport. He went on to get me involved with his expansion plans and since then we have completed sixteen transactions together – that’s an average strike rate of one every ten weeks, not bad!
Everything for which we have offered, we have completed within the agreed terms; it is a most refreshing – and dare I say it, old-fashioned and honourable – approach to business. As a result, Scotland is now almost replete with Costa Coffee outlets and I am very proud to have sourced the building that became the first Taco Bell in Scotland; we continue to work away on opening many more.
Being part of the team that has been assembled at the Adil Group is always high intensity, always fun and, most importantly of all, always successful. And that building he viewed in Glasgow? He never did buy it from me..
“I have acted for the Adil Group for over a year now and in that time I have found Raja and his colleagues a pleasure to take instructions from. Raja, Sajjad and Rebecca always deal with matters promptly and courteously cutting through complicated issues with commercial acumen and little fuss which greatly aids me in my job. During the time I have worked for the Adil Group, I have purchased 9 properties for them to operate as Costa, purchased one property for Taco Bell and taken one lease for Taco Bell. I am in the process of letting premises to Greggs, taking a lease for KFC and seeking consent to rebrand KFC to Taco Bell. All very busy but working together we very quickly get the deals done and my fees are always paid timeously. All in all a delight!”
‘We have dealt with the Adil Group over the last 4 years in respect of them being tenants in one of our premises. They recently purchased the premises and 2 other retail units from us. The transaction went very smoothly and our solicitor was impressed on how easy it was to complete the sale which we were able to do on the original date that was agreed.’
