The Adil Group acquired the Costa Franchise in 2007 and have since then, opened over 50 Costa stores across the UK. We realised coffee was here to stay and the UK consumer wanted a pleasant environment to have a great coffee experience, together with good wifi.

In the UK, we drink approximately 55 million cups of coffee per day and The Adil Group are continuing to invest in this growing coffee culture.

Raja Adil was awarded the much coveted Costa Legend award for delivering outstanding operations and phenomenal growth in the Cuppacoff business.

We are proud to be one of only two franchisees to own and operate a Costa Drive-Thru store in the UK. In addition, we were selected as major growth partners by Whitbread to develop the Costa estate in Scotland where we have opened 12 Costa stores in under 18 months and have a strong pipeline for further growth in the next five years.

So whenever you drink Costa coffee, you're supporting farmers and farm workers worldwide who are working to improve their livelihoods and those of their families, while protecting the planet at the same time. The Rainforest Alliance encourages farmers to grow crops and manage ranchlands in a way that looks after the land for the long-term. It also offers social, economic and environmental benefit to farmers, such as access to schools and healthcare.
